The Mississippi Book Festival features more than 160 Official Panelists who participate in 40+ panels at the State Capitol Complex in Jackson, Mississippi. Self-published or author-financed published books are featured in an outdoor venue off the Capitol lawn in Author’s Alley.
Please read the Submission Guidelines for Official Panelists before submitting books for consideration to the Selection Committee. Should your recommendation meet these guidelines, please complete the brief form for the committee’s consideration. This form helps us keep track of all the submissions!
- Traditionally published hardcover books that are released within a year of the festival date are given priority.
- We accept the following:
- Children’s, Middle Grade and YA books
- Fiction – all genres
- Nonfiction — history, biography, memoir, and essay collections
- Graphic novels
- Photography books
- Art Books
- Titles with a Mississippi focus and titles written by Mississippi authors
Suggestions for the 2019 festival must be received by May 1, 2019. Notifications will be issued by June 1, 2019.
